Lions pick up OT win in soccer / October 10, 2013
The Halifax County Middle School soccer team defeated Prince Edward Middle, 1-0, in overtime Tuesday on the road.

HCMS got the winning goal from Jax Bosiger.

Halifax outshot PE, 15-5. The keepers, Jamal Walker and Brian Taylor, split time in goal. Between the two, there were six saves.

Halifax got a strong overall defensive effort, including Ben Harris, Sinclair Hargrave, Keeley Nelson, Ethan Blanks and Holden Francis.

Grant Nichols also had a strong outing at midfield for the Lions.

The Lions are 6-2 and have Park View today, and Bluestone next week.

The next two games are very critical in terms of deciding how HCMS will finish in regular season conference play.
