Lions suffer loss to Bonner

The Halifax County Middle School boys basketball team suffered a 43-37 loss to Bonner Monday.

Halifax went on a 15-5 run in the final period, and fell short after creating a major deficit early.

Halifax started slowly and only scored three points in the first period.

Then, the Lions had 11 and eight in the next two quarters.

Eventually, Halifax found solid offensive balance with four different players getting into the scoring column in the final quarter.

Titus Tucker led Halifax with 10 points, while Semaj Jeffress had eight and KeyQuan Newton nine.

Kanya Kaddle also had nine points.
