The Halifax County Middle School soccer team defeated Bluestone, 2-1, in conference action Thursday.

HC and Bluestone battled to a scoreless tie at halftime.

Bluestone scored first in the second half, but the Lions rallied with a crisp goal showing excellent teamwork, followed by a penalty kick for the winning score. Jax Bosiger scored the winning goal on the penalty kick.

HCMS is 3-1, with a loss to Park View standing as the only blemish in this game.

Assistant coach Mat Robinson commended Grant Nichols for outstanding teamwork, making his passes, and showing good ability to control the middle of the field. Ben Harris did a good job defensively, while Jose Coronado had multiple shots on goal that barely missed early in the match.
