Lions win pair of golf matches

The Halifax County Middle School golf team won a pair of matches this week, including an important victory Monday against Bluestone.

The Lions defeated Bluestone, shooting a fine round of 194. Bluestone shot 212.

On Tuesday, the Lions shot a round of 182 against Franklin County, which had a round of 214.

The action Tuesday came at Greens Folly.

In Tuesday’s action, Kassidy Irby shot a round of 43. Lance Chappell had 47, Eric Glass fired a 49 and Brayden Moore had a round of 45.

On Monday, the Lions will play their conference tournament at Greens Folly in South Boston.
