Offense flies south for Dixie minors in state tournament / July 23, 2018
The offense went south for the Halifax County Dixie Youth minors allstars in their final two games of state tournament play.

Dinwiddie won the state tournament after beat Halifax County 12-2, eliminating Halifax from the state tournament.

Earlier, Halifax fell 13-0 to Dinwiddie. The local all-stars only had three hits, singles from Griffin Bryant in the fourth, Jay Farmer and Neyland Wallace in the sixth. Halifax pitched Mason Rush, Grady Upchurch, Gabe Cash and Griffin Bryant and could not contain Dinwiddie.
