Park View golfers finish second in opener / August 21, 2019

The Park View golf team, led by head coach Tim Moseley, started their 2019 season last week with a multi-team match at Surry County.

The Dragons finished second in the tournament with a team score of 192 strokes.

Junior golfer Jackson Moseley led the Dragons carding a 5-over 41 followed by Kelsey Moseley, also a junior, with a 46 on her scorecard. Senior Jordan Ingram shot a 48 followed by sophomore Nate Jones with 57 and junior Christian Ingram with 58.

The Southampton Indians won the match with a team score of 157, with Windsor placing third with 207, Surry fourth at 246 and Franklin fifth with a 270 team score. Sussex Central fielded a single golfer and recorded a team no-score.

The district opener scheduled Aug. 13 at Windsor was postponed due to the threat of foul weather.
