Park View netters prepare for district, conference play / October 30, 2013

The Park View varsity volleyball team took on Southampton High on Tuesday and lost the matchup in a four-game contest. Southampton also defeated the Lady Dragons earlier in the season.

PV won game one 25-12, but Southampton went on to win the next three games.

Dare Wright had 15 kills and four blocks in the match. Haley King added 11 kills and Brooke Mason had 23 assists in the match.

The varsity team traveled to Appomattox Regional Governor’s School on Thursday and won the match in five very competitive games.

PV won game one, 26-24. ARGS went on to win games two and three, 21-25 and 18-25, respectively.

PV came back and took games four and five at 25-13 and 15-6 for the match win.

Play on the week has the ladies at 12-3 in the district and 16-5 overall.

JV netters beat Southampton in two

The PV junior ladies defeated Southampton in their match. These games were also close but PV prevailed 25-23 and 25-20.

Kirsten Bailey recorded 12 assists in the match. Madison Cliborne and Jordan Upton had six kills each.
