Park View volleyball standout Courtlyn Hawkins has been named to the VHSL Class 3 All State first team.

Hawkins, a junior at Park View, is the daughter of Bobby and Angie Hawkins of Bracey.

Hawkins is a power hitter and led the Lady Dragons to the Tri-Rivers District regular season and tournament championship titles. She then helped her team advance to the final round of the VHSL Class 3 Region A championships where the team was defeated by a powerful Tabb High School Lady Tigers team.

The Lady Dragons qualified for the VHSL State Tournament but lost to the Goochland Lady Bulldogs in the first round. The Lady Bulldogs went on to lose to the aforementioned Tabb team. Tabb advanced to the State Championship final and were defeated by perennial powerhouse Lord Botetourt County High.
