PV girls jayvees steal one-point victory

SoVaNow.com / December 24, 2018
Aderika Easter hit a pair of treys in the final period to help the Park View jayvee girls basketball team steal a one-point victory over their counterparts from Dinwiddie Tuesday evening at PVHS.

The Dragons trailed for nearly the entire game but they never quit fighting and in the end it paid off as they won 33-32.

Diniwiddie pulled out to a 12-3 lead at the end of one and went to the locker room at the half leading 18-11.

Park View came onto the floor in the second half determined to get back into the mix. It took nearly the entire second half but in the end they eked out the win. The Dragons outscored the Generals 13-6 in the third to pull into a tie at 24-24 as the fourth period began.

Although it looked as though the Lady Generals were going to pull it off, Dragon sharpshooter A. Easter hit one trey midway through in the fourth to tie the game and then dropped another one through the hoop as time was running out to give Park View a three-point advantage. The Lady Generals pushed hard but could only get two points and fell by the slimmest of margins 33-32.
