Three Halifax County High School teams will be involved in Region 5-A tournament action.

Softball and boys soccer will be up first on Friday, with baseball beginning its quest for a state tournament berth on Monday.

The Lady Comets will take on Mountain View Friday at 6 p.m. If the girls win, they will be on the road Monday. If they lose, their season is over.

Also at 6 p.m. Friday, boys soccer will be at home taking on Potomac. Again, the boys win and they will be on the road Monday. A loss ends their season.

By winning the Conference 16 tournament, baseball earned a bye and begins play at home on Monday.
