Season ends for Bluestone baseball / May 24, 2017

The Bluestone varsity baseball team saw their season come to an end Monday falling to Amelia 12-2 in Conference 34 tournament action.

It was less than a week ago that Bluestone battled back from a 7-0 deficit against Amelia at home. Bluestone closed to within a run, 7-6, in the seventh inning but couldn’t plate the runners in scoring position.

Bluestone held Senior Night before the Amelia home game and honored seven seniors. Seniors honored were Aaron Baskerville, Hunter Bass, Jamir Smith, Nick Lopez, Dariyante Walker, Deandre Hutcherson and Nyier Evans. Evans and Hutcherson were unable to attend the ceremony.

Earlier last week, Randolph-Henry beat Bluestone 12-0.

Bluestone finished the season at 6-12.
