The season has ended for the Halifax County Middle School boys’ basketball team.

Halifax was eliminated Tuesday, following a 54-40 loss to Westwood in the Lion gym.

Westwood got a strong effort from Anthony Browner, who had 21 points.

Danny Dickerson also contributed, hitting four treys and adding 17 points.

Westwood had a strong opening and overwhelmed the Lions en route to the season-ending win.

Westwood connected on five treys and went nine of 13 from the foul line.

Halifax got scoring from six players, as Semaj Jeffress had five, including a three-pointer in the third.

Titus Tucker Jr. had nine, including a perfect five-for-five from the foul line.

Kanya Caddle scored six.

Josh Miller had four, all at the foul line.

Kanyle Canada scored 11 and Qualik Tucker contributed five.
