Softball rallies for comeback victory / March 19, 2018

The Halifax County High School varsity softball team rallied in the top of seventh for six runs, giving the Comets a final surge in a comeback 13-11 win.

Lauryn Chappell and Abby Martin worked on the mound for Halifax. Martin got the win in relief after Chappell had a rocky outing.

Halifax had 16 hits, while Park View collected 10.

Dee Dee Jeffress led off, and she belted a two-run double in the seventh.

Skyla Strohm connected on a three-run homer in the third, a two-run single in the fourth and an RBI single in the seventh.

Sydney Wilborn scored twice, and had a solo home run in the fifth.
