Starke earns second team all-CAA honors

Former Comet and current JMU place-kicker Cameron Starke has earned second team all-Colonial Athletic Association honors this fall.

Starke rnked second on the team in scoring with 67 points. He connected on ll 37 of his point after attempts on the year. Starke was 10-for-14 (71.4 percent) on the year on field goal attempts, including a perfect 7-for-7 inside 40 yards. He connected on a career-long 49-yard field goal as part of the 13-10 win over No. 13 Towson.

Starke also averaged 58.1 yards on 39 kickoffs, with nine of them going for touchbacks.

For his career, Starke is 25-of-33 (.758) on field goals and 71-of-72 (.987) on extra points, including two game-winning field goals on final plays in 2011.
