The Day Complex in South Boston will host the 14th annual Virginia Dixie Youth baseball O-Zone state tournament, starting Friday.

The Complex also has the sixth annual Virginia Coach Pitch state tournament.

Action begins Friday rolls through Tuesday for the O-Zone teams.

Play begins at noon Friday with four games on tap for participating teams.

Match ups Friday are Patrick County-Emporia; Madison Heights-Franklin County; Rustburg-Bedford Metro and Bedford Central against host Halifax closing out the evening with an 8 p.m. start.

Four games are slated for Saturday, beginning at 1 p.m. Three games on Sunday, two on Monday, with the event expected to wrap up Tuesday.

Opening ceremonies will be Friday immediately following AA game three and Ozone game two, approximately 5:30-5:45 p.m.

The Coach Pitch state tournament action also gets under way Friday. The teams include Brookneal, Prince George, Madison Heights, Emporia, Bedford Central, Patrick County and Halifax vs. Buckingham, at 6 p.m. Tournament action continues through Wednesday.
