Three teams playing in state tournaments / July 12, 2017
Three local Dixie softball teams are involved in state tournament action this weekend.

The Darlings are in South Hill, and the Halifax National club will meet Rustburg in the first game Friday at 4:30 p.m.

Emporia-Greensville, Fluvanna, Crewe-Burkeville and South Hill are also in action in state Darlings play.

The Belles are involved in state play at Rustburg.

Halifax American meets the host team, Rustburg, Friday at 8:30 p.m. Amherst American, Beford Metro, Prince George, Clarksville, and the two teams meeting in the nightcap are all seeking the state title.

The Debs are playing their state tournament in Dinwiddie.

Action starts Friday, with a crowded field of teams. Halifax American meets Dinwiddie on field three at 8:30 p.m.

Amelia, Clarksville, Halifax American, Dinwiddie, Lunenburg, PEFYA, Crewe-Burkeville, Rustburg, Powhatan National and Timberlake will settle the state tournament.
