Truck, tractor pull Saturday at fairgrounds

SoVaNow.com / July 23, 2014
Get ready for hard-driving, fast-paced pulling action at the second annual Halifax County Truck and Tractor Pull Saturday, July 26 at the Halifax County Fairgrounds.

Sponsored by the Halifax County Heritage Festival Committee with Points Pull by Dragon Motorsports, one of the popular featured classes is the 8050 RWB 4x4 diesels. The RWB’s (“Run What you Brung”) is a class of about a dozen or more modified stock trucks that travel a circuit with Dragon Motorsports.

These trucks, with 1,800 horsepower engines and twin turbos, put on a first class show up and down the east cost from the Tidewater area of Virginia to Eastern North Carolina, as well as Richmond, Winchester and Maryland.

The action starts at 7 p.m. Gates open at 4:30 p.m. and spectators are encouraged to bring a lawn chair since bleacher seating is limited.

Tickets are $15 for adults and children 12 years old or older. Admission for children under 12 is $5. Food concessions will be available for purchase throughout the evening.

For more information, contact Charles Slagle 434-579-3083 or Billy Rice 434-222-1599.
