Varsity girls shut out by Franklin County

SoVaNow.com / April 18, 2013
The Halifax County High School varsity girls soccer team had a tough outing at Franklin County Tuesday night.

The Comets dropped a 7-0 decision, falling to 5-3 overall and 2-2 in the district.

Halifax gave up an early goal in the first minute in Rocky Mount, but then played a fairly competitive first half the rest of the way. FCHS led, 3-0, at halftime.

FCHS then added two more goals in the next 20 minutes, and then the Comets became tired near the end.
