Varsity girls tripped up by PH

SoVaNow.com / April 15, 2013
The Halifax County High School varsity girls soccer team had a humbling trip to PH-Roanoke Friday night.

PH won 8-0.

Halifax played hard, but the Patriots were ready for the Comets. PH cast a defensive blanket around HCHS’ leading scorer, Gabby Nelson, doubling her up the first part of the game. HCHS made some comeback efforts, alhough those were not enough.

HCHS dropped to 5-2 overall.

The Comets have a busy week ahead, with Franklin County in a key district encounter tomorrow, followed by Park View on Wednesday and GW-Danville Friday.
