Varsity opens five-game run of district competition / October 07, 2021

Halifax County High School begins a five-game run of Piedmont District games Friday with a road trip to Magna Vista.

The Comets are 4-0, 1-0 PD. Magna Vista is 2-3, 0-1.

Coach Rob Senseney said Friday’s game sets the course for full time district play.

“This is an important game, a district game” Senseney said. “We have to win the line of scrimmage if we are to win the game.”

Senseney said that this week’s practice has been used doing Monday installs and cleaning up some of the mistakes from the Jefferson Forest win last week. Even though the Comets won 49-32, the game was much closer than the score would imply.

“We have got to continue to improve this week,” Senseney said.
