State meet holds considerable possibility for Comet track

Halifax will have more athletes competing in multiple events, although there are no guarantees and other schools also have a strong selection of athletes.

Halifax County High School head coach Kenneth Day liked the comeback spirit of the Comet baseball Halifax rallied for a 5-3 win over Orange, and there are some who might dismiss that performance. But Halifax won and advanced in regional play Thursday.
