The Comet varsity spikers stumbled in their final non-district tuneup Monday night, losing to Martinsville, three games to one.

The HCHS jayvee football team had a tremendous overall effort in a 22-0 win over Heritage Thursday night.

Cross country fourth at meet

The HCHS cross country teams finished fourth in a pre-district meet warm-up Wednesday at PH-Roanoke.

The HCHS varsity football team had another spirited practice Tuesday night, as the Comets seek their first varsity football win of the season tomorrow night against Heritage. “We’ve had two good practices this week. The kids are continuing to have great focus,” said Comet head coach Stan Hodgin.

Volleyball continues winning ways

The HCHS varsity volleyball team continued its solid momentum. Fresh off winning the Heritage classic over the weekend, the varsity spikers downed Bluestone on the road Tuesday night, three games to none.
