One of the most successful student-athletes in the recent history of the Comet girls’ basketball program is moving on to play at the college level in West Virginia.

HCHS once again in the market for a basketball coach

Halifax County High School principal Albert Randolph confirmed Friday that Ralph Traynham, who had recently been introduced as the new Comet varsity boys basketball coach, has resigned and will not be joining the faculty. Randolph said the school is moving as quickly as possible to find a replacement.
