Former Comet Patrick Terry has a new football address, and the former Virginia Tech scholarship player should get a realistic shot at considerable playing time. Terry is transferring to Winston-Salem State, which is moving down to NCAA Division II football. Terry is eligible this fall and has two seasons of college eligibility remaining.

Clark WVD Player of the Year

SOFTBALL WINNERS — Jessie Bagbey was presented the Comet Award; Stephanie Clark, the MVP award and Sydney Puryear, Most Improved. Clark was earned Player of the Year honors in the Western Valley District
Halifax County High School swept two of the top honors for the all-Western Valley district softball team. Senior pitcher Stephanie Clark was named player of the year in the WVD, and Melanie Saunders was named coach of the year.

Dabbs heading to WSSU
