The HCHS varsity football team has to be feeling much better about itself after last week’s eruption against Martinsville. Magna Vista, another Piedmont district entry, is up next. And HCHS has to go on the road tomorrow to play Magna Vista.

Comets post pair of fifth places in cross country

HCHS posted a couple of fifth place finishes in the Metro Cross Country meet held in Danville Monday.

The HCHS varsity volleyball team started well against district rival Franklin County, but the Comets could not sustain the effort against the Eagles Tuesday night. Halifax (7-5, 0-1) opened with a win against the Eagles, but then lost the next three games as FCHS sealed the district win.

Jayvees cruise to win

The HCHS jayvee football team cruised to a 36-16 win at Martinsville Thursday night.

Freshmen carve out 6-0 win over South Granville

The HCHS ninth grade football team carved out a 6-0 win on the road against South Granville Thursday.

Cross country finish respectable

The Halifax County High School cross country team ran at Randolph Henry High School last Wednesday, posting a respectable finish.
