Abbott leads Comets in final statistics

South Boston News
Andrew Abbott has earned a berth in the VHSL baseball all-star game Monday, June 26, at James Madison University. Abbott was drafted, primarily as a professional courtesy, by the New York Yankees in the MLB player draft in the 36th round last week. Abbott had indicated to all of the major league clubs that he was honoring his commitment to Virginia baseball. Abbott would again be eligible for the draft after his junior season.
