Halifax County High School had a very respectable performance at this weekend’s AAA state indoor track and field championships.

Comet track represented in state meet

The Halifax County High School track team has a respectable presence heading to the state tournament in Hampton.

The Halifax County High School boys’ track team had a very strong showing Wednesday, finishing second in the Northwest Regional indoor meet in track competition.

Patrick Henry-Roanoke swept the boys’ and girls’ titles at the Western Valley district swim meet, with the Comet boys posting a second place finish. The Comet girls were fourth in the meet action Thursday night.
