The Bluestone varsity boys soccer team notched a successful start to the new season as the Barons beat Cumberland 3-1 at home Monday.

The Bluestone baseball coaching staff is confident that this will be a good year for the Barons, who open the season March 15 at Cumberland. The defense and pitching is looking strong, according to skipper Dan Powell, and the batters are putting in extra time honing their swings. Bluestone girls earn regional playoff berth

The Bluestone Lady Barons were slated to travel to Southampton Tuesday to play the Indian girls in the first round of the Group AA Region 1 tournament for Division 3 schools.
