Park View wins middle school soccer title

Bluestone Middle School’s soccer team has been “the” team to talk about this season. After Tuesday’s match against Park View for the Southside Conference championship, the Trojans came home with the runners-up title. They share the co-championship with Park View for the season.

In the midst of an ugly loss to the Brunswick Bulldogs Friday night, Bluestone’s Deon Moseley managed to accomplish something no other Baron has been able to do since 2007: score a touchdown against the Bulldogs.

Lady Barons drop pair of matches

On Tuesday, the Bluestone varsity volleyball lost to Southampton in three straight games. Despite the Lady Barons’ home court advantage, they just weren’t able to contend with the Indians, 25-11, 25-19, 25-19.

BMS girls crush Prince Edward

The Bluestone Middle School Lady Trojans played host to the Prince Edward Middle School volleyball team on Tuesday. The match lasted only three games with the Trojans overpowering Prince Edward, 25-10, 25-6, and 25-21.

The Bluestone varsity volleyball team had a successful week as they downed Nottoway and Greensville in Southside District action.

Trojan girls improve to 6-1 on season

The Bluestone Middle School volleyball team is now 6-1 for the season after winning matches against Lunenburg Central and Powhatan last week. Playing Central on Tuesday, the Lady Trojans wrapped up the action in three sets, 25-18, 25-11 and 25-17.

Park View Middle spoils Trojans’ undefeated streak

On Sept. 28, the Bluestone Middle School soccer team saw its undefeated record fall by the wayside against Park View Middle School.
