Baron baseball team wins one, loses one to open new season

The Bluestone varsity baseball team had an up-and-down first week of the 2011 season, clobbering Cumberland on Tuesday but dropping an extra inning heartbreaker to Central of Lunenburg on Thursday.

The 2011 baseball and softball seasons at Park View begin this week with games at home for both the boys and girls. The boys varsity is set to open play today, March 23 while the girls softball team played yesterday afternoon. In a scrimmage warm-up on Monday, the jayvee Dragon softball team took on Central of Lunenburg and won came up short, 17-11. The Bluestone varsity boys soccer team notched a successful start to the new season as the Barons beat Cumberland 3-1 at home Monday.

Park View Dragons host annual alumni baseball game
