Soccer Splash Tournament a big success

The Mecklenburg County Community Services Corp (MCCSC) held their fourth annual Lake Country Soccer Splash tournament on June 5-6 at the J. H. Yancey Soccer Complex in Clarksville. This year the tournament was dedicated to the memory of Michael Bowlin who was one of the founders of the Soccer Splash Tournament and a dynamic supporter of youth soccer in Mecklenburg County.

South Hill Angels on cusp of title

The South Hill All-Star Angels played last night in the championship round of the District 1 Dixie Softball tournament after compiling an undefeated record in four postseason games in Blackstone so far this week.

South Hill Darlings eliminated by Crewe-Burkeville

The South Hill Darlings were eliminated from the Dixie Tournament on Monday night after losing to Crewe-Burkeville 25-5.
