Spring sports teams at Bluestone finished the regular season last week with traditional Senior Day recognitions and something else even better — invitations to Southside District postseason tournaments.

Dragons cap regular season by beating Bulldogs, but miss out on tourney spot

The Park View Dragons finished their regular season by defeating Brunswick High School, 8-6 Friday night although they lost to the league leading Powhatan Indians, 7-1, in an away game on Thursday.

CMH Foundation golf classic raises $16,000

CMH Foundation held it’s 16th Annual Golf Classic on May 10. Over $16,000 was raised to benefit the purchase of an infant ventilator for CMH’s newborn nursery. Proceeds will also benefit The Pharmacy Connection, CMH’s medication assistance program. Community Memorial Healthcenter is fortunate to receive wonderful support from the community it serves, and CMH is very appreciative of this support.

Barons stun Dragons with rally

The Bluestone Barons struck for three runs in the sixth inning to complete a comeback 8-7 victory over arch-rival Park View on Thursday and solidify a spot in the Southside District postseason tournament.
