The Bluestone Barons swept three games last week against district foes Brunswick and Prince Edward to even their season record at 8-8 and boost their fortunes as the Southside District tournament draws near.

The Park View varsity baseball team found itself on opposite ends of the scoreboard last week, traveling to Prince Edward on Thursday where they dominated the Eagles, 10-0, but falling at home last Tuesday to the Powhatan Indians, 11-0.

The Park View Lady Dragons suffered a major defensive lapse in the third inning and never recovered as the Powhatan Lady Indians picked up a 4-0 win in softball last Tuesday in South Hill.
