PV girls sweep Brunswick, Hawkins gets 1,000th point

Park View’s Nieya Hawkins scored her 1000th career point on Saturday against Brunswick. The milestone came early in the first quarter of the contest played at Lawrenceville. To make the event even more special, Hawkins also completed a foul shot after regulation time had expired to win the game for Park View. Hawkins is only the second Lady Dragon to reach the thousand-point mark. The first was Deidre Williams who completed the feat in 1994.
