That’s the day when everybody stopped what they were doing, stepped back and gave thanks for the tradition that is the ACC men’s basketball tournament.

Atlanta report

HAMPTON, Ga. – Winning the Kobalt 500 NASCAR Sprint Cup race at Atlanta Motor Speedway Sunday came down to a single decision made by two different crew chiefs. Pat Tryson ordered four while Bob Osborne gambled on two – tires that is.
As the green flag waved for the final time, Carl Edwards was your proverbial sitting duck and Kurt Busch had the loaded gun.
It was over before it started. Busch was a rocket at the start pushing his nose in front of Edwards as the two rolled off the second turn and onto the backstretch.

Four down, 22 to go

Four races down, 22 to go, before the Chase for the Championship and already the top twelve has a familiar feel.
Jeff Gordon leads the point standings with 634 points as the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series takes it first of three off weekends. Clint Bowyer is 43 points back in second, followed by Kurt Busch, Carl Edwards, Matt Kenseth, Tony Stewart, Kyle Busch, Kevin Harvick, Kasey Kahne, Greg Biffle, Brian Vickers and David Reutimann.
