Remains of missing Navy veteran recovered from lake

The body of missing Navy veteran, Clinton Howard Rogers, was recovered from Kerr Lake near the Island Creek boat landing area on Sunday. Authorities have not determined the cause of death.

Thanksgiving service set for Tuesday night

The churches of First Presbyterian, First Baptist, Main Street Methodist, Trinity Episcopal and Ash Avenue Baptist invite the community to attend a Thanksgiving worship service Tuesday night, Nov. 22, at 7 p.m. at First Presbyterian.
