Jeaneen Abbott, daughter of late supervisor R.E. “Dickie” Abbott, has qualified for the Nov. 3 ballot to run for Halifax County Board of Supervisors in ED-1. Meantime, Virgilina supervisor Lottie Nunn announced Thursday she will not seek re-election in the fall. Candidates also have surfaced for other offices: Joe Gasperini for School Board, and two more citizens, Jimmy Wade and Korey Snead, for Board of Supervisors tiebreaker.
