David Lee Diamond



David Lee Diamond of Clarksville, died Sunday, Jan. 22, 2023. He was born in Camp Lejeune, N.C., January 22, 1952 and was 71 years of age. He was the son of Sylvia Buchholz Diamond and the late Donald Lewis Diamond. He was married to Elizabeth “Beth” Diamond who survives.

He was a member of Clarksville Presbyterian Church. David enjoyed hunting, fishing, and playing golf. He was passionate for his team the Washington Redskins. His memory will be forever with us.

David Lee Diamond is survived by his wife Elizabeth “Beth” Diamond of Clarksville; one daughter, Jennifer D. Garrett and husband C.J. of Buffalo Junction; two grandchildren, Lili Elizabeth Diamond and Chloe Jade Garrett; his mother Sylvia B. Diamond; siblings Michael Diamond and wife Nan of Stovall, N.C., and Scott Diamond and wife Kathy of Clarksville; sister-in-law Mae and David Spruill; brother-in-law Chandler Nelson Jr. and wife Nelly of Virgilina; three nephews and one niece.

He was preceded in death by parents-in-law Chandler and Betty Rogers Nelson and nephew Chandler Nelson III.

A funeral will be held Wednesday, Jan. 25, at 12:30 p.m. at Powell Funeral Home with the Rev. Annette Goard officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service and other times at his home.
