Inez Mariesainte Myles of South Boston, formerly of Raleigh, N.C., and Henderson, N.C., died at Duke University Hospital Monday, May 16 at the age of 76.
Ms. Myles was born in Harlem, N.Y., on June 19, 1945 to the late Amoure Mariesainte and Katherine Clark. She joined Providence United Holy Church in Raleigh, N.C., and remained a member throughout her life. For the past three years, she was a parishioner of Jeter Chapel Baptist Church in South Boston.
Ms. Myles is survived by a son, A. Clifton Myles of Columbia, S.C.; a god-daughter, Karen Clark of Halifax; and a host of other relatives and friends.
A funeral will be held Saturday, May 21 at 11 a.m. at Jeter Chapel Baptist Church with Dr. Clifton Buckrham, eulogist and Dr. William E. Purvis officiating.
A public viewing for family and friends will be Friday, May 20 from noon-6 p.m. at Jeffress Funeral Home, South Boston.
