Kaiser Jackson Owen


Kaiser Jackson “Jack” Owen, 83, of Chase City passed away on July 14, 2014. He was born on May 5, 1931 in Chase City to the late Willie and Effie Owen.

Jack retired from Mecklenburg Electric Cooperative after 45 years. He is a member of Concord Baptist Church and Arrowhead Gun Club.

He is survived by his wife, Irene C. Owen; two daughters, Cindy Owen Heick and her husband Delbert of Warrenton, N.C. and Jackie Owen Jones and her husband Chris of Chase City; eleven grandchildren, Michelle Barnes, Stacey Wilbourne, Ryan Wilbourne, Brandon Owen, Kendra Owen Wilson, Jeremy Crute, Justin Crute, Holly Crute Loftis, T.J. Nichols, Joseph Nichols, and Dakota Jones; and fourteen great-grandchildren and one on the way. He is also survived by his brother, Marion Owen and his wife Doris of Chase City; numerous nieces and nephews; and his beloved dog, Muffin.

He was predeceased by his son, Richard Wade “Ricky” Owen; his daughter, Vicki Owen Dennis; one granddaughter, Ashley Wade Owen; three brothers, Lewis Owen, Harvey Owen and Vic Owen; and two sisters, Jena Owen Moore and Margarite Owen Barker.

A funeral will be held on Wednesday, July 16, at 11 a.m. at the Newcomb Allgood Funeral Home chapel. Interment will follow at Concord Baptist Church cemetery.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, July 15, from 7-8:30 p.m. at Newcomb Allgood Funeral Home.
