Memorial Day service to be held May 29 in Halifax

The Halifax County War Memorial will be the scene of a Memorial Day religious service on Sunday, May 29 at 3 p.m. to remember those who gave their lives in service to the nation.

The Halifax County Memorial Day Service will feature guest speaker Rev. Andrew Williamson, pastor of Williams Temple CME Church and a member of American Legion Post 99 in Halifax.

Serving as Master of Ceremonies will be Rev. William Wilkins, pastor of Vernon Hill Baptist Church and chaplain of American Legion Post 8 in South Boston,

The public is invited to join the service starting at 3 p.m. at the Halifax County War Memorial Park, North Main Street, Halifax.
