Grand jury issues indictments for wounding, other felony offenses / April 29, 2010
A Mecklenburg County Grand Jury last week indicted Jason Lavar Champion, 32, of Buffalo Junction on charges of attempted malicious wounding.

He is scheduled to appear in Mecklenburg County Circuit Court on May 4 to respond to allegations that he shot at a vehicle occupied by Mark Smith and Ebanie Martin, putting their lives in danger.

Champion was indicted on four counts of malicious wounding and two counts of malicious shooting or throwing into a vehicle.

According to court records, Champion was arrested Jan. 19 in connection with an incident that occurred in November.

A Skipwith woman, Bonnie Seay, 36, is scheduled to appear May 10 in Mecklenburg County Circuit Court to answer charges relating to 18 instances of alleged check forgery.

Also indicted were:

Lewis Boldin, possession of a firearm after a felony conviction.

Donterius Francois Boyd, forging a public record.

Jeffrey Lee Clark, taking a vehicle without permission.

Roy Glenn Creedle, DUI, third offense.

Conrad L. Dortch, bodily injury with intent to maim or kill Jackie Jones.

Danny Wayne Ellis, breaking and entering with intent to commit a felony.

Robert Eugene Featherstone, failure to return property to Rent-E-Quip.

Samuel A. Greenblatt, sale of controlled substance, Schedule 3; possession of cocaine.

Michael Keith Hargrove, possession of a firearm after conviction of a felony.

Basilio Corona Hernandez, conspiring to transport marijuana with intent to distribute; two counts of intent to distribute a controlled substance, Schedule 1 or 2.

James Lamont House, possession of cocaine.

John Randolph Jackson, possession of less than 5 pounds or marijuana.

Tamela R. Jessup, stealing property valued at less than $200 with two or more prior convictions.

Marqus Q. Jones, bodily harm with intent.

James Allen Meredith, possession of a firearm with a prior felony conviction.

Jasmin Jimenezx Ortiz, conspiring to possess with intent to distribute 5 or more pounds of marijuana.

Cezar Cristhian Rubio-Lopez, failure to stop.

Keyon Kadarro Simmons, possession with intent to distribute cocaine.

Cynthia Diane Williams, shoplifting, less than $200, after two or more similar convictions.

Matthew William Yeates, possession of meth; sale or distribution of controlled substance, Schedule 3.

Thomas Darnell Moss, breaking and entering, attempted larceny of a residence.
