Vaccine clinic for teens offered Wednesday

South Boston Pediatrics will host a COVID-19 vaccination clinic for children ages 12 to 17 on Wednesday, from 1-4 p.m. Halifax County Public Schools issued an email blast to share this information with students enrolled in the school system, but the vaccine clinic is open to anyone in this age group.

The South Boston Pediatric staff will administer the Pfizer vaccine to immediate household members 12 years old and up. All teens must have a parent or legal guardian accompany them at the appointment for the entire visit. The Pfizer vaccine has been approved for safe use with adolescents by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.

The pediatric office is not accepting walk-ins for COVID-19 vaccines, you must call the clinic or email the clinic at .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) to schedule an appointment. If you are interested, please call 434-572-3635 to set up an appointment.

South Boston Pediatrics is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. and on Saturday from 9 a.m.-noon. The office is located at 2202 Beechmont Road in South Boston, behind the hospital. Other vaccination clinic sites can be found at https://www.vaccines.gov.
