Marie Ketchersid, president of The Community Arts Center Foundation and Ted Bennett, president and chair of the Southern Virginia Higher Education Foundation celebrate the transfer of ownership of the former R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company building commonly known as The Prizery.

The Southern Virginia Higher Education Foundation and the Community Arts Center Foundation have struck an agreement to transfer The Prizery performing arts center facility to the SVHEF, allowing the arts group to rid itself of maintenance and upkeep costs and giving the SVHEF full ownership of the row of education and arts buildings overlooking the Dan River.
