A South Boston man has been sentenced to 20 years in prison after being found guilty in January of 11 charges of possession of child pornography and computer trespass.

Alton Lee “Tiny” Conner, 71, of 1047 Green Level Road, Scottsburg died July 6, 2010. He was born in Halifax County on November 20, 1938, son of the late William B. Conner and Cornelius Tuck Conner and was married to Carolyn Moorefield Conner. He was a farmer.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Teresa C. Seamster of Roxboro, N.C.; son, Christopher L. Conner of Halifax; sisters, Virginia C. Snead of South Boston, Mary Joan Melton and husband Bernie of Scottsburg, Edna Noblin and husband Sterling of Blackstone; brothers, William J. Conner and wife Louise of Halifax, Howard W. Conner and wife Dorothy of Halifax; grandchildren, Tara S. Foster and husband Justin, Teresa L. Seamster; great-granddaughter, Lexie D. Foster and special niece, Debra M. Hite and husband Mike. He was preceded in death by a brother, James E. Conner.

Graveside services will be held today at 2:00 p.m. at Oakland Cemetery with Rev. C. Allen Mahan II officiating.
