Brenda Burgess Wright, 70, of Winter Haven, Fla., died at her home on Sunday, March 21, 2021 with her loving husband and daughter by her side. She was born in Halifax County on Aug. 23, 1950, daughter of the late Raymond Bruce and Mildred McDowell Satterfield.

Brenda is survived by her husband of 18 years, Jon Wright of Winter Haven, Fla.; her daughter, Adrienne Burgess Snead (Tim) of Scottsburg; her sister, Carolyn S. Talley (Larry) of Oxford, N.C.; mother and father-in-late, Ann and Gary Norlander of Clearwater, Fla.; sister-in-law, Nancy Burkart (Jerry) of Holiday, Fla.; two step-grandchildren, Lee Snead of Scottsburg and Eric Snead (Courtney) of Scottsburg; two nieces, Nicole Talley of Oxford, N.C., and Heather Reed of Alton; five nephews, Lindy S. Satterfield (Paige) of Clarksville, Jason R. Talley (Jen) of Philadelphia, Tyler Burkart of Holiday, Fla., Jeremy Vaughan (Emily) of Alton and Grant Norlander of San Francisco, two great nieces, Miranda L. Satterfield of Halifax, Erin Grace Satterfield of Scottsburg; one great nephew, Liam Talley of Philadelphia, one great great niece, Berkley M. Duffer of Halifax.

Her first husband, Jerry A. Burgess, her parents, Raymond and Mildred Satterfield, her brother, R. Wayne Satterfield and sister-in-law, Ann Satterfield, preceded her in death.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date in Winter Haven, Fla.
