Clifton Hankins Jr.

Clifton Hankins Jr. of 3280 River Road, South Boston died Thursday, July 15 at his residence at the age of 46. Born in Manhattan, N.Y. on Oct. 25, 1963 to Joyce Ragsdale Hankins and the late Clifton Hankins Sr., he was married to Peggy Jackson Hankins and was a member of Berry Hill Baptist Church. He was a former employee of Burlington Industries in Halifax.

Mr. Hankins leaves to cherish his memory his wife of the home, two daughters, Brittany Jackson Hankins of Chesapeake and Briana Hankins of Clarksville, his mother of South Boston, a sister, Claudette H. Lipscomb of Halifax, a devoted nephew, Deion Lipscomb of Halifax, six aunts, eight uncles, four great aunts, five sisters-in-law, five brothers-in-law, devoted friends Jeff Ragsdale and Willard Cardwell and a host of other loving relatives and friends.

A funeral service for Mr. Hankins will be held Tuesday, July 20 at 1 p.m. at Berry Hill Baptist Church with the Rev. Tommy Crews officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the residence, 3240 River Road, South Boston.
