James Willis Canada, 39, of Clover died Monday, July 12, 2010 in Person County, N.C. He was born in Halifax County on Feb. 26, 1971, a son of James Edward Canada and the late Helen Louise Womack Canada.

In addition to his father, he is survived by one son, Keon Sprattley of Clover; his devoted companion, Louise Sprattley; his step-mother, Ellen Canada; one sister, Sylvia Canada of Clover; two brothers, Vincent Canada of Lynchburg and Wilson Canada of South Boston; his grandmothers, Marie Womack of Scottsburg and Virginia Ewell of Baltimore, Md.; one sister-in-law, Tammy Canada; four aunts, five uncles; two nieces, two nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by three sisters, Ella Mae Canada, Juanita Canada and Shenita Canada and two brothers, Nathaniel E. Canada and Tony Lorenzo Canada.

Funeral services were held Saturday at Spanish Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Ronnie Womack officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
