Priscilla Warren Franklin, 78, of South Boston, died Saturday, April 10, 2021 at Danville Regional Medical Center. She was born Dec. 8, 1942 in Halifax County, daughter of the late Arthur Clyde Warren and the late Mildred Talbott Warren and was married for 60 years to David Belt Franklin, who survives. She was a member of the Harmony United Methodist Church and retired from Schewels Furniture Company, where she was the credit manager.

Mrs. Franklin is survived by her husband of 60 years, David Belt Franklin of South Boston; one daughter, Amanda Franklin Penzer and husband Chris of Summerfield, N.C.; two grandchildren, Hunter and Taylor Penzer of Charlotte, N.C.; one sister, Carol Warren Thomas of Halifax; one sister-in-law, Carolyn Franklin Parrett and husband Charles of South Boston and many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by one son, Anthony David “Troy” Franklin, one granddaughter, Cathryn “Katie” Franklin, one great-granddaughter, Toni L. Franklin, five sisters Elwyn O. Owen, Edith W. “Helen” Eck, Frances W. Baker, Barbara A. Warren and Jennifer W. Gregory.

A celebration of life service was held Wednesday, April 14, at 2 p.m. at Halifax Memorial Gardens Gazebo Chapel with Rev. Don Bryant officiating. The funeral was livestreamed on Powell Funeral Home Facebook page. The family received friends immediately following the service.
