A South Boston man has been sentenced to 20 years in prison after being found guilty in January of 11 charges of possession of child pornography and computer trespass.

Sally Elizabeth “Lizzie” Newton Keeton, 77, widow of Charlie Harden Keeton Sr. died Saturday, Aug. 28, 2010 at Halifax Regional Hospital.

Sally was born Sept. 1, 1932 to John Robert and Annie Lou Puryear Newton. She was a homemaker.

A funeral was held Tuesday, Aug. 31, 2010 at Nelson Baptist Church with the Rev. Jim McAlister officiating. Interment followed in the Keeton family cemetery.

Mrs. Keeton is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Regina K. and Lawrence Oakley of Oxford, N.C. and Shirley K. and Charles Kaywood; son and daughter-in-law, Allen and Susan Keeton, daughter-in-law, Kathy S. Keeton, and son-in-law, Samuel Oakley, all of Nelson. Thirteen grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, and her brother, Ernest Newton, Sr. of Virgilina also survive.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Barbara Oakley, son, Charlie H. Keeton Jr. and grandsons, Dwayne Oakley and Jason Kaywood.

The family received friends Monday at Watkins Cooper Lyon Funeral Home.
